Freddie and Shalisa met on a blind date in 2009, while he was a college freshman and she was a high school senior. Their relationship grew as they took community college courses before transferring to the University of North Texas, where Freddie graduated in 2018 with a degree in advertising and Shalisa in 2020 with a degree in fashion design. Coming from small families, they prioritized education to build a life together, and they currently live in Princeton, TX, with their two spoiled wiener dogs, Duncan and Demi.
